Kindle edition of Conversation and Community
Anne Gentle’s Conversation and Community: The Social Web for Documentation is now available in a Kindle edition at Amazon.com. Gentle’s book has been praised as “brim full of useful information and, even better, great ideas,” and “Could be best TC read of the decade.” It gives technical communicators and social media marketers practical strategies and tactics for making social media more substantive, useful, and attractive.
XML Press to publish Robert Delwood’s new book, tentatively titled, Word’s Secret Life
Why would a publisher called “XML” Press publish a book about Microsoft Word? Because we recognize that XML is not the only tool for technical communicators. Robert Delwood’s forthcoming book, tentatively titled Word’s Secret Life, looks at Word from the perspective of technical and other professional writers. It gives writers an in-depth look at the hidden capabilities of Word, and shows how to take advantage of these capabilities without being a programmer.
Scheduled for late 2010, Word’s Secret Life will help you master the full gamut of Word mysteries, including AutoCorrect, QuickParts, BuildingBlocks, macros, Smart Tags, program-less VBA programming, and much more. There’s something here for everyone who uses Microsoft Word, from new users to experts.
