Austin, Texas (PRWEB) September 21, 2009 — The WebWorks.com team is pleased to announce its partnership with XML Press, the leading publisher of books for technical communicators. To mark this new partnership, XML Press publisher Richard Hamilton and two of the line’s authors will be speakers at the WebWorks 2009 Conference on publishing industry trends to be held in Austin, Texas, between October 19 and 21.
Registered attendees at RoundUp will also receive free copies of two XML Press titles, “Managing Writers” by Richard Hamilton and “Conversation and Community” by Anne Gentle. Attendees will also get the chance to win an advance copy of “Wiki: Grow Your Own For Fun & Profit” by Alan J. Porter, which is scheduled for publication in early 2010. Hamilton, Gentle and Porter will all be speaking at the conference on a variety of topics.
“The partnership with XML Press represents another step in the WebWorks team’s ongoing commitment to support the technical communications community,” said Tony McDow, founder and CEO of WebWorks.com. “We are delighted to offer our conference attendees access to what are rapidly becoming standard works on the emerging technologies and practices for a rapidly developing market.”
The annual WebWorks RoundUp conference has grown over the last three years from a dedicated user conference to one of the leading industry conferences, offering insight and information on emerging technologies and trends in the corporate publishing industry.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with WebWorks and participating in the WebWorks 2009 Conference,” said Richard Hamilton, founder and Publisher of XML Press. “I’m looking forward to a great conference and am particularly pleased to be attending along with XML Press authors Anne Gentle and Alan Porter, who are both leaders in this fast-growing industry.”
This year’s conference features sessions on topics as diverse as wiki implementation, automating the publishing process, the impact of Web 2.0, content development best practices and the DITA standard.
