It’s good news/bad news at the STC Summit this year. The bad news is that after several years doing the bookstore, XML Press will not be at the Summit this year. We have enjoyed doing the bookstore, but for a variety of reasons, it’s impossible for us to do the store this year.
The good news is that many XML Press authors will be at the conference. These include:
- Kit Brown-Hoestra, editor of The Language of Localization, will present a talk titled, “Content in the Age of Machines: Incorporating Controlled Language into Your Content Strategy.”
- Ray Gallon, editor of The Language of Technical Communication, will present a talk titled, “Living in Volatile Contexts.”
- JoAnn Hackos, co-author of A Practical Guide to XLIFF, will present a talk titled, “International Standards for Info Dev and Content Management.”
- Alan Porter, author of WIKI: How to Grow Your Own for Fun and Profit and The Content Pool, will present a talk titled, “Why Technical Communicators Should Be More than Writers.”
