Hold on Proposals

At this time (Summer, 2020) we are not taking new book or article proposals. We have a backlog of books in progress and do not have the staff to take on new projects for at least the rest of 2020. We will remove this note when we are able to begin taking proposals again.

Proposal recommendations

Do you have a great idea for a book that will help technical communicators? If so, we’d like to hear from you. XML Press plans to publish a small number of books each year, each one targeted to help technical communicators do their jobs more effectively.

We are looking for books that help technical communicators use XML, including DITA, DocBook, and other standards, content management systems, the Internet, and help systems. We also will consider books that address how to manage various aspects of technical communication.

Our style is concise, direct, and informal. We aim to inform, not overwhelm.

To submit a book proposal, send email to: proposal@xmlpress.net

Be sure to include in your proposal a clear description of what the book is about, what the audience is, and what makes you the best person to write this book. You can read a more detailed description of what we are looking for in Writing a Book Proposal, which is a reprint of an article written for STC Notebook.
